Coleman Thomas was a huge reason for our offensive line woes. I hope he develops at least a little. He looked lost and overmatched. Our pass blocking was horrendous.

UT is a paper tiger. 7-8 wins tops. Historically, that's pretty much our norm and I will be happy with a bowl game. Maybe we can draw another slow, plodding big 10 team to play?

That Syracuse team destroyed both of these teams. Not to mention they were a ranked team. This was a "Top 10 team" getting wrecked by a "top 50 team" that is barely D1. Not Syracuse in the late nineties. Stop making the comparison..

We are in big trouble this year. Butch Jones has done a terrible job preparing this team for battle. They will not have the killer confidence going forward. All they had was cockiness and they got ***** slapped. It's going to be a long long year.

You're right. It's not a good comparison. But App St is better than you think.

It's play calling. Too many passes behind the line of scrimmage. Too many runs off tackle with 8 in the box. Not enough downfield passing when the defense isn't respecting the pass. Dobbs isn't a great passer, but he's also not being put in the best situations. But look what happens when he is. Huge TD pass way down field to Malone.

Seriously, can't disagree with you. Hopefully that was pure Vanilla offense and defense. If not, gonna be a long season!

After fast starts for the last decade it's about time we change it up. Maybe we actually realize a #9 ranking gets your best shot every week. Play like it.
