Injuries definitely hurt but giving up 400 yards rushing and about 130 of those on the same QB keeper play to the right is just not very impressive.

Agreed, but you did hear them say that they were in a 4-2 today instead of a 4-3 because we were so thin at LB, right? We basically ran a nickel all day, which is prolly why Kiff continued to pound on us...we were simply spent.

This was the 4th game of a BRUTAL 4 game stretch AND the best team of the four. We've sustained a STAGGERING number of injuries to our starters. Their 1s were playing against our 3s in several positions (LBs I'm looking at you). Even if we'd have had a bye week prior to this game I'm not sure much would have changed.

They've recruited top THREE classes consistently during Saban's tenure to our top TEN classes these last few years.

We're getting back..... No doubt about it but the stars were severely aligned against us tonight.

Delusional. There aren't any other words in the english language that can convey the cognitive dissonance in this post. Well, maybe insanity....

If we have the same staff that we have this year, and we attempt to run the same scheme, then we'll all look back at losing to Bama by 39, beating Georgia on a Hail Mary, and beating Florida with a bacup QB from Purdue, and still finishing 11-2 in a decent bowl as awesome compared to what is possible when our recruiting classes start to slide.
