The Official #9 Tennessee vs. #1 Alabama Game Thread, 3:30 pm ET, CBS

Four years of recruiting/coaching and we have exactly ZERO SEC caliber offensive linemen on our roster.

In fairness, injuries have dismissed all chances for winning today.

However, our scheme is run by Debord so that's already 14 in the hole at the coin toss.

I'd be happy with 10-2 also. Really would have liked this game to have been closer. I know we're going to fall pretty far in the rankings. I just said that cause I'm not so sure we don't drop one more before the season is over. Hopefully bye week helps gets some guys healed up

You'd be happy with a 10-2 season being the best we are ever going to get under CBJ? What do you envision next season is going to look like with the same staff, and less talent?

Actually the schedule is more favorable next year.

Me too. hope they get healthy and stay focused on the non ranked teams coming up

The injuries have been just unreal this year. It seems like all the guys we couldn't afford to lose on defense, we lost. Thank goodness for Barnett.

We could be better next year because of the constant need to plug guys in, especially in the secondary and at LB.

This game was not that much of a surprise to those of us who thought rationally. Hopefully we see them in Atlanta with a much healthier team.

I don't blame Shoop at all for the defensive struggles, our defense is obliterated to injuries right now. Debord is all to blame for this offense though, absolutely terrible play calling. He's also to blame for all of the early game struggles, we play conservative until we just absolutely can't.

Injuries definitely hurt but giving up 400 yards rushing and about 130 of those on the same QB keeper play to the right is just not very impressive.

Our best shot was to make this a scoring battle. We knew the D was going to be challenged to compete. Kudos to Barnett he played his butt off and so did Berry

Obviously we've got to finish out this year, but looking ahead, I'm not willing to just automatically assume we're going to be worse next year, considering many of the guys we'll miss the most have been injured.

Not sure I want to see them again after today's beatdown.

Let that honor belong to Florida to be blown out by 35 and we'll take a decent bowl game and end the year on a good note.

I'd ask you how you KNOW we'll be less talented. :)

When your offense is giving you nothing but run, run, pass, punt you tend to wear down, especially with 2nd and 3rd string guys.
