I know the general opinion by people on this board has been “Curley will come through! Don’t be so negative. He’s earned the right. You don’t know ball if you think he shouldn’t be in the field.”

But he just cost this team 4 runs. I’m not sure how anyone can justify playing him anymore. His bat isn’t worth 4 runs.

At some point, a cost/benefit analysis will need to be performed.

Right now, the offense does not outweigh the defense.

Billy Amick was a defensive liability - particularly at 3rd, but he made himself impossible to bench with his bat. Billy's errors cost us at least 2 games last season but he bat won us 3-4 over any replacement.
