I know Yankee doesn’t do one for the exhibitions so figured I would get one going, it’s been a long wait but finally here.

FWIW Tusculum player Arkansas on Friday, the Razorbacks won 96-47, however the halftime score was close at 30-24 Arkansas.

Vols starters are expected to be the same as most of last year: Jordan Bone, Jordan Bowden, Admiral Schofield, Grant Williams and Kyle Alexander.

Really interested to see Pons improved jump shot. I think he's going to have Admiral-like improvement from season to season!

What is 1 or 2 things you guys would like to see out of this game that when it’s over makes you optimistic about the season?

For me...

1. I wanna see a dominate effort start to finish, get out early and stretch the lead out to where our 1-6 guys only have to play ~15 minutes.

2. Picking up where we left off last year defensively, that is where we buttered our bread and should once again be our strong season, would like to see the tone set early on the defensive end.

3. Seeing something from guys 7-9, whoever that may be. My hunch is Pons, Walker and Fulkerson...I would like to see the next step from those guys to give some optimism about our bench rotation.

Would like to see us limit them to under 25 points in the 1st half like we did for a couple of the early games last season.

Also would like to see Pons, Walker, and Johnson get a good amount of minutes

a) A dominant performance over a "cupcake" opponent would be a good start and a harbinger of good things to come in the regular season.
b) Everyone in the rotation playing with both True Grit and joie de guerre (a nod to Mr. Pons).
3) Scantily-clad cheerleaders.

I wanna see Pons. That’s about all I think I’ll get from this game.

Is the Lenoir-Rhyne game an exhibition or regular season game? UT sports listed it as regular season but Lenoir-Rhyne is D2 right?

Regular season, iirc you can play 1 a year and it count...apparently Vols had a LM school scheduled that dropped out at the last minute.

It is a regular season game and yes they are D2. I don’t know if the win really counts towards our resume or not. Not sure on the rules there

Reg season game. They play in the Southern Athletic Conference, same as Tusculum.

Okay glad I’m not imaging things because I swore we’ve played them in exhibition games before

Curious about Fulkerson. Is he fully over the injury and able to return to glimpse of freshman year? Or is Steven Pearl still wearing a Fulky costume out there on the court like last season? Needing a big year from him
