The Official #6 Tennessee @ #7 Texas A&M Game Thread, 12:00 PM ET

Roger that!

Not an Adams fan, but several of the worst calls were not his. I am big on equity of calls.

Here is an early JUMP BALL! REALLY?

Then on a drive to the basket. NO FOUL NO FOUL, then while laying out of bounds and the official looking down court tags Shack for a foul for being stepped on.

Edited to add, then went to the monitor to look for a flagrant on the call! Hard to accept objectivity after this.

A Pat Adams reffed game is always a struggle for us.
It's a struggle for every team when he refs. My friend said it best, he's a "look at me" official.

It was kinda comical in this game, I was getting frustrated with terrible calls at the 5 to go mark and suddenly there was a close up of Mr Adams. I was like ooooooooh, I see now. I wonder how many times he's directly affected the outcome of a game. Luckily UT was better than his antics and pulled away.

The WORST call of the night is administrative error, NOT JUDGEMENT. The 3 free throws GIVEN to them on this call…..HOW?

First, who fouled who, look at the push off by the driver, inside the arc. Followed by a dribble to outside the arc and THEN collects the ball and shoots. Gotta be a mindset: Don’t know who made the call. But it is atrocious, not just bad. Thankfully we survived them.

I never heard them announce if the foul was on Z or Mashack? Agreed on it being an egregious call

3 Blatant missed calls, 1) Ghost foul 3 pointer shove, 2) Texas A & M throws ball out of bounds call (to Texas A&M, 3) 3 foul shots with foot across line and TxAM player creating contact.
There were more, but what gets me is that the announcers stated in one case to look for the make up calls.
What's more, critical part of the game and results could have gone either way to affect the outcome.
I am sure CRB is addressing this with the SEC after the games, to avoid TOs. Doug Shows, during the Auburn game where Barnes threw the water on the court was sending a message.
Valentine had his problems as well but at least he was consistent.

Seems the SEC men's officials are bordering on being as bad as the SEC women's game officials. And if you have seen one the LVols games you know what a low level that is.

No doubt Pat Adams is a look-at-me ref but Chuck Jones was FAR worse than Adams in this game.

That was a great game. Well played by both teams. HUGE road win. That’s the way you do it!
Yep..fun game to watch. Looking at the stats they out rebounded us by 9 but we beat them at the 3 point line. They beat us in the paint pretty good but the 3 was the difference.

Why would Barnes or any other SEC coaches continue to waste their time sending video evidence to the SEC offices? These same officials come up short game after game yet nothing ever seems to change.

There's a big shortage of refs from high schools up. Many of the old guards have gotten out or retired in the past 15-20 years and not near as many have gotten in. They use to start small like doing Junior Highs and working your way up....Now they fast track you when you aren't ready.

It’s usually the difference in most games. Look at the box scores of games and usually the team shooting the 3 ball the best normally wins.

Why do we continue to call them out in forums? Seems to have less affect than the coaches. Pretty sure the officials are graded on performance anyway per game. After all these years, coaches have managed to run off some refs but still can't get them off.

My point is simple CRBs sat is or is still sitting on the rules committee, the refs are not unionize, no one is really holding them accountable. Several years ago, Fans did manage to call out a ref during the LSU - TN game for favoritism. It was the same time Will Wade focused. Tennessee does get the bad end of the stick most of the time, but other teams do as well.

The SEC evaluations of Refs must really Suck because these guys are allowed to call games. Pat Adams, Doug Shows, and several others have been making bad calls for years. Games stay in the Point spread most of the time until there is a breakdown by one team on the other. This game was headed to a 1 point game either way yesterday.

Guess what, Z busted the spread with the three pointer then Tx A&M after a missed shot had to foul. Coaching won the game, but Refs kept it close with Blatant Missed calls and make up calls which happen in every game as well as makeup calls.

This year is the first time in a long time, I have heard the a lot of the announcers speak freely on calls.

I've seen FT disparity win games...Also rebounding disparity win games when the losing team hits more 3's. But when most things are pretty equal 3 does beat 2.
