The Official #6 Tennessee @ #7 LSU Series Thread (Fri. April 25 7:30PM EDT SECNET+) (Sat. April 26 8PM EDT ESPNU) (Sun. April 27 3PM EDT SEC NETWORK)

I did not see that coming. Thought we might see Ware get the start, and hope he can get through one, maybe two innings before getting rocked (which would absolutely happen). Then bring in Evans, followed by Cowan. If they can somehow get 5 out of Evans (big if), then 3-4 out of Cowan, LSU might have a chance. Either way, if the bats don’t come alive for LSU, it won’t matter. I’ve got the Vols winning today, and probably similar to last night, taking a small lead early and then opening a can on the Tigers in the late innings.

You trying to rizz us up. I see you 👀 lol. I don’t expect LSU’s offense to stay quiet. How many runs you think wins it today? I’m thinking 7

Evans seems, statistically, pretty solid. What should we know?

Man, the LSU bats have been mostly quiet for the last 3 weeks. They’ve been in a slump for the most part. Jones has been in a big slump, with an occasional big hit (like Friday night), and that doesn’t bode well for the Tigers. I have no idea how many it will take today. The Vols have had some Sunday issues as of late as well, but we’re entering new territory with Russel back and Evans getting his first start. Should be interesting to watch, and hopefully a good game.

It seems like we’ve had two BIG half innings that have determined the outcomes of the first two games (bottom in the 9th on Friday and top of the 8th last night). But, if we’re being honest, the Vols have controlled this series. And it really hasn’t been that close when looking at the entirety of both games.

I like you. If you ever need a slump buster, hit me up. I know someone.

He’s been great, especially for a freshman. But, this is his first start, so I don’t know what to expect. There’s a big difference in routine between a starter and a reliever, so I’d look to see how he handles the first inning, and then see how far he can go after that. I think LSU needs 5 from him to have a chance to win, but that’s just an opinion that might not be worth much.

We don’t know how long AJ can go either.
