How many innings do you think he can go now without pain or risk of injury?
He had 27 pitches in his last outing. Just saw @TechnoVol post. Yes, it will be a certain number of pitches, as he said. It’s also related to high-stress outs. The cleaner the innings, the more likely he is to reach his maximum target count. I’m guessing 30-35 range, as I think Tony will air on the side of caution.

Any idea what illness Krenzel has? Missing two weekends means it's pretty serious. I'm wondering how it will impact him when he comes back. If he hasn't been throwing, it could be an issue.

I used to go to a Ti-gahs hang out in a Vols shirt to root for LSU to beat Bama every year (football) when I lived in New Orleans. I think I was more rabid about beating Bama than they were. 😆 They loved me.
Still have lots of LSU paraphenalia Ti-Gah fans gave me in Hoover....back when the Vols were irrelevant & we cheered for LSU just because. Things have changed & there's a new sheriff in town.

DongCast for a stormy Friday evening in Baton Rouge:

Expect a delayed start, unless things change (which isn't unusual in the southern half of Louisiana).
If there's a trend showing in later forecasts today, I'll post it as an edit below:

Not trending toward the rain or storms getting out of the way early. Trending the other way.
Weather update posted. Forecast not trending well...

LATE EDIT: And then suddenly... 🌞!

Preview of Vol vs Tigers at 5:24 mark.

Yeah, I’m not sure these guys are completely on the mark. I don’t think The Box will be as big of a factor as they’re stating. LSU got run ruled by Northwestern St at The Box on Tuesday, which is a massive concern for me. Midweek games really don’t mean much, and CJJ was tinkering with the lineup, but dang. You don’t get run ruled at home by Northwestern State and think that everything is just fine. It’s not.

LSU has been absolutely atrocious in hitting with RISP the last two weeks. Anderson could throw the game of his life tonight, and still likely lose bc of hitting. I’m chalking tonight up as a win for the Vols. Doyle will be good as always, and the Vols will get the timely hits needed to win. Saturday is where I’m hoping LSU can pick up a win, but again, something is going to have to change with hitting if this is going to happen.

In a previous post, I stated I already chalked Sunday up as a win for the Vols. LSU has no pitching for Sundays. However, I’ve noticed that y’all have had Sunday pitching issues as well. Sunday could come down to who gets the timely hits, or if an unexpected pitcher shines that we haven’t seen yet this year.

My overall prediction: Likely a Vols sweep. But, I’m going to go with a 2-1 series win for the Vols, thinking that LSU will have some inspired hitting on either Saturday or Sunday.

Hope it’s a great series though my friends, and I’m looking forward to it! Best wishes to y'all, and safe travels to and from for all y'all attending the games!

Just watched a Cannon Peebles interview from last weekend. I hope that kid makes it to the MLB and has a long career, but if it doesn’t turn out that way he should get in to coaching. That kid is smart as hell with the way he was answering questions. He’s got a lot of knowledge of the game, more than most.
