Our bigs must give us something moving forward. Some points inside to take pressure off ZZ, Chaz, and Gainey. Those three played well 2nite. Happy Gainey got it going, esp getting to foul line in first half.

If you would've come up to me in my driveway in 1990 while I was shooting hoops and listening to Vol hoops(we didn't have cable and we weren't even on tv much anyway) on the radio and told me I'd see them make 9 Sweet 16's, I'd have laughed. Then I'd have asked you to get off of my property and turned my Vanilla Ice cassette back on. .

I really think we'd rather play Kentucky. Illinois is better. I am aware they've beaten us twice but I refuse to be scared of them. If you want to go where we want to go, you gotta earn it, and nothing would be sweeter than earning it while knocking them out.

Happy for Barnes and this team, esp for ZZ and Mashack. They’ve been here four yrs and and are so hungry to make history with UT to final four.

We haven’t played our best game yet. And I think we are due for a game when we shoot lights out.

We already beat Illinois. Let's beat ky. Though, let's beat Illinois if we have to play them.

Happy to have at least one more week of basketball season! Great win with some Barnes teaching moments from those last 6 minutes. I was expecting a rock fight for 40 minutes and was surprised we blew it open as it seemed UCLA was peaking entering the tournament.

Can’t figure out why UCLA didn’t really play their big guy in the second half as he was their leading scorer in the first half and was causing us trouble around the rim?

Not suggesting you were scared, saying that I am not worried about them. I think we matchup much better against Kentucky. JMO. Brea is what kinda concerns me as far as the matchup, but as a team, I want them.

Agreed. Lamont Butler is basically playing with one arm and Robinson is done for the year. Illinois has a ridiculously high ceiling if they are playing up to it. Kentucky has obviously had our number, but I think they are a better matchup for us.

Yep, there is no way they shouldn't beaten us once, much less twice. No way it happens 3 times. I don't think it would be close, really.

He led them in assists too (only 3) despite the limited minutes. I wonder if he just isn’t in great shape? He’s not a regular starter for them he looked pretty gassed. Still, I would have rolled with him if I were Cronin
