I’ll take anyone but Auburn. Duke and Florida are the best 2 in the country imo, but I wouldn’t be upset at all if Houston goes on and wins, anyone but Pearl and Auburn.I don't want Auburn to win a Natty before us. I'm glad Alabama didn't win it before us. I'm rooting for Florida cause they've already won 2 Nattys and their in the SEC
Agree. Barnes has never signed that superstar center and he never will. We still shoot 3's even though we can't make one. Barnes is great at D (usually) but the team that scores the most points win.
Look at the NBA. Defense is not going to win games when a team can score 125 pts.
Not sure if we will ever make it to the final four. These last two teams were our best chance
I know we were unable to capitalize on the inside height advantage, but everyone one on Duke is 6-6 and they have a 7-2 center. I would expect Duke to win by double digits. But who knows, maybe slapball rebounding works for Houston..I don't know, Houston is pretty darn good, you heard them say 3 of their 4 losses were in OT and they are very well coached.
Houston has the #1 defense and are #1 at 3 point shooting percentage, I figured they'd knock down 3's if we gave them open shots.I know we were unable to capitalize on the inside height advantage, but everyone one on Duke is 6-6 and they have a 7-2 center. I would expect Duke to win by double digits. But who knows, maybe slapball rebounding works for Houston..
I'd been a Tenn fan since I was little and I'm an alum.
White has been a fantastic hire as an AD, the best I can recall in my lifetime.
I think CKC did an amazing job with the Lady Vols in year one. I she has the youth, passion and potential to get the Lady Vols back to Elite status.
CRB turned Tenn MBB into a consistent winning team and made the job much more attractive than when he was hired.
The men were never an elite BB team, just a solid middle/upper-middle SEC squad that can make occasional runs, topping out, as today in the 16 or 8.
Honestly, I'm not even upset about the loss, the first was awful but not unexpected.
Yes Rick cant make them play, yadda, yadda, yadda. But some coaches have the ability to inspire a killer mindset and I believe that is key in progressing from good to great to elite.
Saban, Smart, Summit, Auriemma, Staley, etc. like them or not that have/had that.
Vitello has it.
Heupel might have it, still can't call that one.
Caldwell seems to have to have it.
Rick seems like you would be playing for a loving, very knowledgeable and supportive grandpa. But he's 70, and 70 year-olds don't tend to have killer competitive drive.
The product is what it is until Rick decides to retire, he's likely earned that.
