Basketball is a fickle sport Houston could go out and miss everything vs Duke you never know they looked good today. I remember when Bama looked unbeatable hitting record number 25 3s then they missed everything vs Duke and got blown out.

I don't think Houston looked any better than what Tenn normally looks. Guess we'll never know.
And yes, that's actually more embarrassing haha

They had a bad day while UH had a good day, our NEGA fans are zero for life.

What have we all said repeatedly? Have a bad day shooting and you are likely going home. Just can’t have it in the Dance and expect to keep advancing. Houston was ready to go from the jump and took advantage of a nervous TN team and got the big lead. With their defense, they didn’t have to do much in the second half. Credit the Vols for not giving up but it was just too big a deficit. Proud of the season though. Hopefully we can restock and come back.

It's just sad that ZZ and Shack went four years and broke no new ground at Tennessee. Good players and ZZ will have his number in the rafters, but they didn't bring this team anywhere it hadn't already been.

Oh well waited too late to get going. Better season than I saw coming. Off to the portal to hopefully get some help for next year. Had a couple warriors on this team but when you get down to the final 8 it is just not enough. Great season boys. Now time to move over to baseball and root those guys on. Been fun folks.

I think we need to find a dominant big man for sure, when the 3s don’t fall for us against teams that have good inside defense, it’s a tough time as seen in the first half. Gotta find a big that will go in and make tough shots.

Agree. Barnes has never signed that superstar center and he never will. We still shoot 3's even though we can't make one. Barnes is great at D (usually) but the team that scores the most points win.
Look at the NBA. Defense is not going to win games when a team can score 125 pts.

This. Heck, at one point we got it within 10–had we just made our free throws it would’ve been a 6 point game then. Basketball is a game where your mistakes compile at a rapid pace, and it showed today.

Seems that way certainly. I didn’t think I’d ever see an SEC tourney championship either. You just can’t have an incomplete team when you get down to the final 8 teams. Houston was a much more complete team than TN.
