I love it because he instills a little fear in the batters . He is huffing and puffing before the pitch and kinda crazy looking in the eyes. Plus he will occasionally let a 98 mph fastball get away from him. Like CMo said last year when asked about Doyle . ‘Good luck ‘

Yes, defense is important, but you have to contribute more at the plate. Peebles hitting.179 and AA .214. Stone can slide into catcher and Curley back to SS and we don’t loose much defensively as much as we gain with their bats.

There’s a valid reason why Peebles catches every start by Liam Doyle. He’s a plus defensive catcher who frames the ball very well. Peebles will hit at least .260 over the course of a season. I’d take AA at SS if he can hit .250. Both are fully capable of hitting much better than that.
