The Official #5 Tennessee @ #15 Kentucky Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, ESPN

Is it fair to say that Tennessee simply doesn't have the talent?

Got talent minus another big and backup PG. Still have plenty of talent to beat teams if we either shoot well or play smart and pick on a clear advantage when not shooting well. We don't do much of the latter and get thrown off on offense too often. More identity is needed, now.

That was annoying. 2 dudes who avg 5 combined points a game went for 19. That’s just annoying. Is what it is. Not really concerned. Go beat Vandy and find some new stuff for the offense.
No it is concerning. We have massive, massive spells where we literally can’t throw one in the ocean. That’s a patented thing over the last several seasons.

Wah Wah, Tennessee didn't defend and couldn't shoot. 3 ticky tack fouls didn't matter. Two games letting them shoot 50% is not on the refs. Man up, play through adversity.
It did matter. When you are on the road it makes a huge difference, especially in the last few minutes of the game. We worked hard to stay the course, regain the lead and put pressure on Kentucky. But it was at that time the refs kept calling fouls for Kentucky when we only had 2 fouls most the 2nd half.

I mean they average none cause they normally don’t play. They only played cause UK is down multiple guards and a center who is hurt. Next man up
Don’t expect some of these people to use logic or look at more than the one stat that makes their argument

Lets face it, this was Kentuckys super bowl

It took them 20 threes to beat us and a John Fulkerson like performance from some random white boy from deep.

The refs kept us in that game with us shooting a lot more free throws attempts till the last couple minutes

Tennessee got schooled by two freshman guards from Kentucky, Rick's bargain bin transfer emporium looks great on paper, particularly against smaller teams, but can't show for the big games on the road where talent is key and basketball skill sets are a must
I’m sorry but there’s NOT a Dalton Knetch in the mid majors every year.

Kentucky dares us to shoot threes and we were too scared and too bad of a shooting team to take advantage

Easily the most frustrating part of the game.

I can deal with UK hitting tough threes. I can deal with missing open threes. I can't deal with our shooters consistently passing up open threes for tough midrange jumpers.
