Louisiana is better than I thought.

That's a good way to start the tournament. Really gets the team dialed in.

Tn should have put this team to sleep in the 1st half. This team was decent at best

58-55 Vols win.
It’s survive and advance but it was very ugly and TN is fortunate to win this game. Sloppy turnovers. No offensive identity when we need a basket to end a drought. Missed foul shots.

Pros- Mashack had a good game. Key was aggressive and made some big shots.
Defense - played well over all.

Cons- Phillips and JJJ- non existent. Santi was covered slime a blanket.
Can’t close a game. Up 16-18 and gave it away. Missing foul shots.

Next game Vs Duke - hate to say it but Duke is playing great ball and doesn’t turn it over. TN could lose by 15-20 unless something changes.

Can’t believe it looked like we would walk to a 20 point win and it ends up in a nail biter.
On the good side, we managed to win a close game. Wasn’t pretty at all, nor did it feel good.

Last year we looked unstoppable in our first game. Game to game…

Thats because barely scraping by against these guys killed any hope of beating Duke.

Tough to imagine beating Duke, but it wouldn't be the craziest thing to happen.

No it's not. We beat Kansas, Texas, Alabama, Maryland, Auburn…..Duke is just another team and from the weak ACC.

It had that feel. Fortunately we were up a mile otherwise a 1/2 mile wouldn't have been enough.

Still a one possession game and missed foul shots. We were fortunate.

Well, we made it to the second round of the tournament. Its looking like another second round exit for Barnes and the boys.

I don’t like the matchup with a hot Duke team. I think we’ll need some luck and a lot better scoring.

All that matters at the end is the win. No idea what happens vs Duke but this game won't effect the next. See teams escape all the time early and end up in the final four. See teams dominate on day one and fall apart on day three. We did that last season.

Duke will try to tackle Vescovi all day. Need a big game from JJJ or Key to beat them.

Defense won that game for us tonight...going to need to play tough defense against Duke and have much better shot making to have a chance against Duke. Can be done but need to play a lot better from start to finish if we have a chance to win! Vescovi has to score some points.
