I have been super busy and just didn't have time to get to buds to shoot it. I went up Memorial day but they closed early. I went back tonight and shoot it. Thing is they had one on rental but none to buy. The guy at the range was super nice and he said if you're thinking of buying one just pay for the ammo and the gun and range time are on me. I felt guilty when I went across the street to Smokey Mountain Knife works and bought it.

I had narrowed it down to the sig and the FN. The lack of a safety and a single stack mag pushed me to the FN. The only thing about the FN that concerns me is the safety/decoker seems a little flimsy.

AR #2 now has the Nikon P-223 mounted. I'll do a rough bore sight this weekend, and have made arrangements to visit a local hunt club that has a 200 yard range the following weekend.

GV: With the idea being "good punch at 300 yards", I'm planning to dial it in on the Federal 62gr JSP's (556SBCT). The SpotOn app will give me the offsets for the 55gr (or 62gr) FMJ's.

Sound about right?

What is the intended purpose?



You can get a very nice 9mm for well under that from any number of makers. Having said that a Dan Wesson Guardian in 9mm is awfully nice if you like the 1911 thing. I hate running across those since it makes me want one.

I lied. I didn’t get a 1903. I bought an Enfield mk 4 long branch. Matching serial numbers...... stole this too...

Besides, if you'd have ever seen me shoot, you'd know that it cannot possibly affect my inherent lack of accuracy.
