What's your nightstand gun?

Before the flood I had a Ruger SR9 in the nightstand and a shortened 870 under the bed.

What's your nightstand gun?

Before losing it in an unfortunate explosion (involving a cookie and mixing low-fat milk with pasteurized milk) I had a 12ga (short barrel, extended mag, etc) pump.

From top down: Beretta Cx4 Storm .40 S&W
AR-15 BCM upper/Stag Lower
Savage mkII .22lr
Crickett .22lr (fun!)

Pistols From Left to right: Beretta Nano 9mm
H&R .22 9 shot
Springfield XDM 5.25 .40 S&W

Also had a 7mm Mauser and Glock 17 Gen 4. :good!:

Unfortunately, a boating accident has left me only with a red ryder bb gun. :cray:

12ga - must be a big night stand :)

The night stand is more "supporting" it than anything.:p

I figure if it's in my house and I'm not having to hide it, why not go big? Plus, if things truly get hairy, it makes a better striking/parry instrument. Isn't necessarily the best choice for everyone but I like (well, liked, prior to the explosion) it for my purposes.

.300 Win Mag or GTFO!

Shot one of those for a couple of years. After about 7-8 pulls on the trigger my shoulder couldn't take it anymore. Accuracy became non-existent. Lol.

I think the 223/5.56 will work good for him. And I'll let him shoot the 270 short mag later on.

(He shoots a 300 out of the gate and he will be scared to shoot a gun again. Lol )

Just to put it out there a good recoil pad can make a bigger difference than many people think. I've been using Limbsaver (there are other good ones) and can tell the difference.

What's your nightstand gun?

A Ruger P85.

Thousands of rounds through it, all brands, ages, and types. Its old. Its ugly. Its clanky.

But it never fails. NEVER. The damn thing just keeps going.

Its like one of those mid 80s Toyota pickups with 800k miles on it.

There are several others in the safe, but when it comes to depending on one...

I just hate I lost it when my fishing boat sank.

There was a Winchester SXP I was trying out, but I had planned to replace it with an 870. Damn boating accidents.

What's your nightstand gun?

1911 of some flavor or another. Typically either the Sig in .45 or the Rock Island in 9mm.

BCM AR in the closet.

Got a slightly modified mossberg 20 gauge propped up behind the nighstand. Really want to get a ruger or S&W 9 to go along with it though.

Got a 12 gauge, but I feel more confortable with the wife being able to point and shoot the 20.

I've had the itch for a new toy, but I'm not quite sure what. I've thought about a Remington 700 or a shotgun. Maybe an 870.

Something tells me you lack conviction if you are even debating on either when you should just be buying both.

Not sure if you are dedicated to the cause or not :)

They'd both just fall out of a boat or suffer some other kind of disaster shortly after purchase anyway, right?
