It's frustrating and stressful to see our starters drop like flies, but getting our depth some real game time is nice too.

i think after watching this game our defense appears to be opportunistic in creating turnovers along with sacks but won’t be as good on getting off the field like we did last year. Moi and Hobbs not playing was noticeable. Thankfully, we play ETSU next week.

This was a good game for us. We actually got some competition vs a cupcake opening. Georgia vs Marshall? We have alot of things to work on besides getting healthy.

Still not sure about our WRs, JA has been solid. Hes gonna be good enough at the QB position. OL looks solid, and RB might be the strength of the O.

On defense, we better hope we havent lost anyone for the season, because even with everyone im not sure we are even an average defense in the SEC. We have to get a lot better. Corners played well, but we defensive line has a long way to go.

OL looks solid? They were great this game even getting curve ball and juggling starting lineup due to Sanders missing game. A+ for this game.

For the third time I’ll say this to someone. Syracuse lost more starters than ANY team in the fbs this year. 18 starters. 4 drafted. They are literally a completely new team.

In all fairness, the game went 4 hours, way past the 3 hours and change allotted . The outcome was not in doubt when they switched.

Yep. He’s a solid QB. 5 sacks against him today. He was a great “warm up” qb for us.

True Syracuse is a really good offensive team. Our Defensive line has to reach another level of play. The linebackers and secondary played a great game today the DL not so much.

I'm hoping that we are just dealing with minor injuries that we can get over by Georgia game.

Sure, I think it was a good outing for the O and a pretty decent outing for the D.
My comment referred to a tendency to not see our deficiencies and attributing too much to opponents.

Same. But In their defense, the game was past 4 hours.

That was a LONG game filled with fake injures and penalties. Not to mention the 1st game additional Ads that fluffs it even more.

Really strong week 1 W! Defense is elite loaded with athletes that fly to the ball! Offense is fast and has explosive athletes at all the skill positions. S/O to the QB in his first game in a Vol uniform.
