I didnt think we'd scre 31 all game with new O line, QB, and receivers. Im thrilled.

Defense hasn't been perfect but it's first game. Overall pretty happy.

I think the RB trio will fill Sampson's absence more than nicely. Hood looks good at CB was my big takeaway on that side of the ball

First half: 336 total yards vs 141 yards for Syracuse with 31 points on board and good balance of run/pass for Vols.

I'll take that for our first game!

All in all, a pretty good half for the first live game. You could see the timing was off the first few drives but they seem to be gelling pretty quick. That one pass was caught at full speed. That was sweet to watch. Defense is getting tested with these long drives, especially when we seem to score so quickly. Gonna be a lot of film to look at this next week. Next week won't be a great test before GA so hopefully they can really work on getting to the line quicker. Looked like they got caught getting in position a couple of times. Hopefully that'll change in the 2nd half cause they play against our fast offense in practice so there really isn't much of an excuse except first game jitters/jelling.

Tennessee had 2 games that year with 13 penalties. Both (Pitt & MCB) were worked by ACC crew

Watching the other game on Fox makes me realize how bad fox is for college games. The audio mix is horrible. Like no stadium noise at all. Same thing last night for Auburn game.

Biggest negative on offense I see so far is if a team that stops the run and makes us throw, Joey will have to have less overthrows
