Instead of starting a new thread….what's your prediction of rushing yards needed to win? I think this is the key to the game.
IMO 150 or more is enough to control clock and score enough to win.

Definitely don't disagree with that thought and think we need to establish a good pass/run mix to keep the defense from stacking the box and focusing on the run game. Need a lot of Wolf, North and having Pig back will be big as he always adds a spark and is another weapon.

All I know is we have the talent (gumption) to win any game, be it Oklahoma or any other team.
That is a win in my book (considering what we've been through of late.) Excitement in the program again speaks volumes...go UT!

We will hit the 300 yd mark in rushing. Win by roughly 3-4 touchdowns. It won't be close. They will be unable to move the ball.

Totally agree; establishing a running game should open up the passing game.

in this offense there is no magical number. We will rush for 300 yds and win roughly 41-13, 42-17...somewhere in that area. We don't need a number to win, we just win. It will be a close game if we rush for 100-150. Telling you though...we will rush for a lot of yards in this game. We will be at 100 middle of 2nd quarter. Then it starts piling on. Look. I said two years ago we would be a 6-6 team if we were lucky. Last year I said we would be 6-6, 7-5 if things go our way. This year we could be really special. Don't worry about the D and pass defense. Oklahoma isn't built offensively to do what BG did. And, honestly we didn't press BG (when we did it got ugly for BG)...guys, enjoy the game. Gonna be fun. Think Cal 06 and scream like crazy so that OK O-line can't hear a darn thing.

I think we need to put up at least 180 rushing yards to keep them honest. I say we see pig getting 60 -70 rushing yards on the end around. However I feel we rush for 250 and pass for 200. We hold there rush to under 100 and pass to around 200

How would we get 42 points from 450 yards, but they only get 24 out of 400?

Pig has run for about 75 yards.....per YEAR in his career at Tennessee. 60-70 yards in tomorrow's game is probably a little high IMHO.
