In addition to the points that others have made, Auburn Arena seats ~9,000. When you’re playing a rival and ranked #1 in the country, it’s a little hard not to have a loud crowd in a sold out high school arena.

Very true. The only UT student section that made a lot of noise tonight was the section behind the goal. The lower level student sections were relatively sedate.

Barnes comments at the half about how many points his defense gave up, tells everything about what he cares about. He doesn’t give a damn about offense. It’s defense defense defense.

Pretty good win. But this offensive showing is an aberration. We won’t see this very often at all.

I dunno, every time we face a mediocre defense we seem to shoot okay and our offense seems to work, so I think we’ll keep shooting well against them. Our real struggles have been against top 20-30 defensive teams.

Refs were doing their best to keep TN from slamming the door on A&M. WTH was that phantom push off call on Chandler near the end? One of the worst calls I’ve ever seen.

I’m glad he didn’t because that ref will call another TN game at some point. It would have been funny though. The clock would have stopped and the TX A&M players were already at mid court walking to their bench.

I was speaking of when ZZ faked the shorts off the guy and had him falling on his butt. The KC foul was a joke and a half. He stopped so quick the guy kept going from what I saw and the replay on the jumbotron showed. These refs were reacting more to movement than to actual contact. Saw numerous flops by AM not called and a lot of pushing off on inbound plays, but heaven forbid we look at someone the wrong way.
