I don't laugh, because like you said anything is possible. But we are in a different position re: baseball than UVA. We've gotten our first taste of a championship in baseball and want more, UVA has been coasting for years and has been passed in the ACC by both UNC and FSU (and even Wake at times). This is the reason when CTV is mentioned for a HC position at another school, Vols fans shouldn't laugh anything is possible...
I respectfully disagree. I think UVA has been to something like three of the last five or three of the last six CWS. Also, UVA has won a national championship. I know FSU has the most tournament appearances without a championship.I don't laugh, because like you said anything is possible. But we are in a different position re: baseball than UVA. I would guess it's money if that's something he cares about. He has a title. State would probably pay him close to what TV is making at the top. O'Connor makes 1.4 right now with that resume. Maybe roster construction is another issue.I respectfully disagree. I think UVA has been to something like three of the last five or three of the last six CWS. I bet they are about to make him the highest paid coach in college baseball.I would guess it's money if that's something he cares about. He has a title. Squeeze Play and our own VFL Chris Burke is one of the hosts.Someone told me this week that there's a show on ESPN+ that's like NFL RED Zone and MLB Extra Innings (I think that's what it's called) where they stay on all day and show highlights and live look-ins of all the games going on. Anyone know what the show is called? @vol66 ?
You are right! Great weekend of college baseball in store for us! I saw ETSU play at GA (led most of game but ended up losing to GA) and at TN. They are a very talented, well coached team.Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathering at the starting line for what I believe is one of the greatest weekends in college athletics. ETSU vs. Louisville to start things off at 11 am ET. Breakfast baseball in Nashville in what could be an incredibly intriguing game and regional, as well as the schedule around the rest of the country.
