The NFL Network guys just made a good point about Sanders that I hadn’t considered. “You’re now in a position where you’re drafting him in a backup role, at least starting out, which could create an even bigger story for your team…that you don’t particularly want.”

I mean, I wasn’t that high on him, but there’s no denying he has some talent. I honestly thought the Saints would take him at 9 and was legitimately surprised when the Steelers passed on him at 21. But all the “branding” and near Bronny-type hoopla may have doomed him more than anything once he fell out of Round 1.
