The Official 2025 March Madness Discussion Thread

I don't particularly like to consider a person trash and hate them for playing the game they love well. JMO
I don’t consider any of their current players trash. But players who choose to play for Golden from this point forward, knowing what we know about him now? Trash

At the end the Houston player had not dribbled before going up in the air. After letting go of the ball i think he could have grabbed it or start dribbling it off the bounce.

Geez man - just shut up and go away with your ********! Your team just won and your stupid ass is on a different team’s forum arguing about due process. Your such a tool.

I earlier posted during the game about the game....

But then all sorts of accusations got thrown around. Feel like someone has to keep it on the level.

For me it started some years ago when I stumbled across the board talking football. Notwithstanding the sea of judgment here of late based on speculation and repeating of summaries of anonymous claims with zero detail, it's usually a fairly decent place for sports talk.
Are you an attorney? Surely, you understand how your university comes across when your compliance department issued that decision, especially based on the language it used.

By the way, I am. Your fandom is clouding your judgment just like you claim we are.

Hats off to UF. I’m not ashamed to say it. I can respect an opponents basketball team when they’re good. Clayton had a great tourney. I enjoyed all these FF games. UF winning just cements how tough our league was this year. Greatest season in SEC basketball history.

I've been saying since early March that Houston will win it. They are tougher than Florida and Sampson will coach circles around Golden.
I had me a little side of crow on my plate for dinner Saturday night, but you got you a scoop to eat tonight, uh?
What was Sampson trying to do on that last play?
It's like the announcers just said,
Florida blitzed their shooters and were able to be "one more play tougher than Houston".
Sampson certainly didn't coach circles around Golden, and in the end Florida's players stepped up and matched Houston's physicality.

Houston was a very good team, tho.
They have a lesson to learn which is real similar to the lesson we hopefully learned this tournament....Stellar Defense is awesome, but you got to shoot better to be a National Champion!

Oh yeah, I’m sure that’s the case. Also leave it to a Florida fan to say “Well if our (married) coach was sending his genitals to a bunch of college girls consensually, then it’s probably ok to let him continue to coach a bunch of college aged men”
Hopefully this win will bring his sorry ass background to the front pages now.

Ran this through an AI detector and it came back as 99% AI

I fully recognize the limits of the conclusion. But that's hardly in and of itself proof of any misconduct.

Dude, read the room. Celebrate somewhere else, all you are going to do here is catch sh!t, all night. Unless you just wanna troll and piss people off, then carry on. I can handle it, but a lot on here can not

That's not what I said. At all.

Others know the rules better than I do but I thought the moment both of your feet are off the ground, you have to either shoot or pass the ball.

If he had pump faked, he would probably have been wide open. I like the decision to go for 3 but execution was horrible.

He probably identifies with Coach Pedo on a deep, personal level (especially if his profile pic is any indication)
