I agree. This years tournament really feels like it’s unusually elite at the top, and I feel like mist 1-3 seeds have at least a semblance of a chance of winning it all, the main exception being Kentucky. I also am skeptical Auburn gets past the S16, but we’ll see. When I was filling out my bracket this year, I had a hard time picking upsets. I probably picked a few more than I honestly should have just because of the nature of the tournament, but I couldn’t help but feel that the crop of top teams this year are particularly good compared to most years and that the lower seeded mid-majors were at a huge disadvantage in Round 1.
Guess we’ll see how things shake out, but I think it’s going to be chalky at least today and tomorrow.
They have let teams hang around all year.Auburn thought they could sleepwalk through game 1 against an in state team who you know was pumped for this game.
While I think this TN can make it to final four and cut down the nets in April, I picked KY over TN. Idk where they stand with injuries but they are a bad matchup for us. And I don’t see them having a poor shooting night against us.True. I actually have Kentucky in the Sweet 16 in one bracket and the Elite 8 in another. I think they have a very favorable draw. Illinois is so hot or cold. We’ve seen them get blasted often. I just think Kentucky is so good offensively that except for the truly elite teams they can beat anyone.
I had to pick them to the Elite 8 in one of my brackets because I’m just ready to be hurt by them again.
