The Official 2024 NCAAT Watch Party Thread

Texas A&M is about to go down. Wade Taylor has made no impact and the Aggies have missed 13 FTs at least.

There’s just a difference in watching top teams like Purdue, UCONN and Houston score confidently. We will have to be a totally different team on Friday than what we saw last night.

Have to think this tournament has put a sizable dent into the “expand the field” narrative.

Doubt it. The narrative was never based in fact or logic. It’s based strictly on $$$. That hasn’t changed. Expanding it isn’t about getting better teams in, it’s just about lining the pockets of already wealthy people.

I don’t disagree. I do think support for the idea will wane, maybe enough to delay expansion but ultimately won’t change the end destination. Expansion will come. Maybe this tournament changes the flight time but that’s it.

The upsets will take place today. Colorado was the popular upset pick (didn’t pan out) along with James Madison and Grand Canyon. I believe one of these last two win outright. But, I think we see a large upset today. I don’t see Northwestern being able to hang with UConn but the Utah State and Texas A&M games…. Going out on a limb that one of these pull off a huge upset.
This take was as freezing cold as mine thinking that Utah State would have a chance to win.
