If it goes down like that the week following the Georgia game things will get straight up ugly around here.

Thats an understatement... Another loss to florida and nearly mathematically eliminated from the SEC East race. The negavols certainly, and even the fence riders at that point would be howling. Fulmerites would be meekly hiding behind the installing a new offense mantra.

10-2 reg season. Tied for 1st with florida in SEC East and go to Atlanta with tie breaker to play Auburn.
I didn't like saying we will lose to SC but i think we will lose to some team we shouldn't.

i'd say 9-3 is realistic. If our new offense struggles, I think 8-4 would most likely be the case.

I think the key is to beat Florida. Georgia tends to never really as good as they're supposed to be, so we can hopefully count on them to slip up a few times in conference play. I don't like going into the last few weeks of the season and hoping to back into the title game.

I believe that our defense will be much better this year, making it MUCH easier to win the games that we're "supposed to win."

I put Alabama, Georgia, and Auburn as losses, but I think UT will get at least one of those. I also think UT will lose one they should win.

Right now I would say 8-4.

I'm saying 9-3 or 10-2. Four of the first 6 games are tough.
Some of the sporting mags have the Vols pre-season 17th and have 4 other SEC teams in the top 10. I don't think that will happen. If the SEC has more than 2 in the top 10 it will be interesting. I think at least half of the teams in the SEC go bowling. At least we don't have LSU on the schedule this season. If any team in the SEC goes undefeated, I'll be surprised. Will the Vols do better than 3rd in the East?

UCLA-W
UAB-W
Florida-L
Auburn-W(look for a bounce back victory after Uf loss)
NIU-W
Georgia-tossup(they don't scare me, but it is at UGA.)
Miss St.-W
Bama-W(We lose this one, all hell will break loose)
USC-W
Wyoming-W
Vandy-W
UK-W

10-2 is my prediction. It depends how the O performs though.

I think we lose to Georgia and Auburn but win the rest. We need to learn from 98 run the ball and rely on the defense. If Crompton can catch on to the offense quickly we could win one of those games.

i really agree with many of your optimistic opinions. TN is definitely flying under the radar this year, but for those of us who follow the team year-round, this could be a pretty good season.

Like I said before, I think our defense will ensure that we win games that we're "supposed to win" -- thus eliminating the "oops" type of game.

If our offense shows up against Florida, Auburn, and/or Georgia we're going to be in very good shape.

I'm going into detail with mine

1 loss to Florida, but Florida loses 3
so 11-1 is my prediction

SECCG vs. Alabama W

Arian Foster runs for 1300 yds
Crompton passes for 3100 yds
Good Squad ends up with 9 ints
Defense ends up with 19 sacks
And Stafford will go down as the most overrated QB in the SEC

I honestly think we will have the most talented team we have had in years, probably since 01, but I don't think it will show in the W-L record, because several of our opponents will be better as well. I think we go 1-3 against Florida, Georgia, Auburn, and Alabama; and 9-3 overall.
