OK, we did this in the spring, time to do it again now that the season is upon us and some of our biggests questions are answered... i.e. Warren and Williams are in, no more off-field incidents and dismissals (knock on wood!!), etc. Pick wisely, your results will be evaluated in January. :p

I'll go out on a limb and start... 10-2 with a BCS bowl again (finally) but miss out on the SECCG...

W @ UCLA - closer than we expect
W UAB - no contest
W Florida - Fulmer gets the Meyer monkey off his back with redemption... unfortunately the gators still win the East
L @ Auburn - can't maintain the emotional high, and the plains usually aren't kind to the Vols
W N Illinois - no brainer
L @ Georgia - heartbreaking loss... but Georgia still doesn't win the SECE
W Mississippi State - tough win in a slugfest
W Alabama - Fulmer lets emotion set in, keeps his foot on the gas in a big win
W @ South Carolina - another hard fought squeaker over the HBC
W Wyoming - big win
W @ Vandy - big win, just like the good old days
W Kentucky - big win again, Vols on a role get a BCS bid

Agree for the most part, however, I believe you have the Florida and the Auburn games backwards. While I pray on my knees every night that we can take down the Gay-tors this year, I just think that with a new QB, and a new OC bringing in a whole new offense, it may be too much to ask. So.... after a close L to UF, we march down to the Farm and beat an over-rated Auburn program that is also installing a new spread offense and who does not match up well with us on defense. Otherwise, you are spot on...

UCLA- W 35-24. Close game TD late secures the W
UAB- W 44-14 Offense starts coming together
FL- W 35-31 Going to have to score some points and gets some big TO's but the Vols finally beat the Gators again
AU- L 35-21 Never really close as the Vols can't ever seem to get in a grove
N. Ill- W Alot to a little
GA- W 28-20 A statement game- TN is back and with this win they are valted into the top 10
Miss St.- W 28-24 TN avoids a bigtime upset pulling this one out late in the 4th
Al- L 24-17 Tennessee gets outcoached.
Wy- W
Vandy- W Pretty much a home game for the Vols
KY- W
BCS bowl- 10-2 record

So you predict that we will drop South Carolina from the schedule?:p

I'm going 10-2, no SECCG. If I have to pick my losses, I'm going to say (gulp) UF and Auburn, then run the table. I think that Crompton will mature as the season goes on and we will become more comfortable with the new offense as our D solidifies.

Not to be a copycat, but I'm thinking 10-2 as well. This season is so strange it's hard for me to make a guess at the losses. There are just too many variables; a lot of unknowns. If Crompton was to get seriously injured...

And by the way kiddiedoc, National Champs baby! WOO HOO. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Tennessee goes 11-1 with it's only loss to Florida. Florida goes undefeated and then loses to a 10-2 Auburn team in the SEC Championship game allowing a one loss USC to get a rematch with undefeated Ohio State for a shot at the national championship.Tennessee gets screwed almost as hard as Auburn in 2004 and watches Auburn play in the Sugar Bowl and Florida get an at large bid to a BCS bowl while Tennessee gets another trip to the bowl formerly known as the Citrus Bowl triggering a rule change after the bowl season that will allow 3 teams from one conference to play in a BCS bowl. Florida once again lets the SEC down by losing to a one loss West Virginia in a matchup between the two fastest teams in college football history. Tennessee thrashes a 3 loss Michigan team in the Capitol One bowl 45-13 and finish the season ranked # 2 in both polls. Vol fans can be heard from the depths of Knoxville lobbying for a plus one game against the BCS champion Trojans of Southern Cal with a 12-1 record. Don't think I wouldn't take that scenario.

The funny thing is that I read all those crazy scenarios and my first thought was "No way Michigan only loses 3."

I figured that they would lose to OSU, Wisconsin, and Illinois. You are probably correct but it seems logical and if they figure their offense out, they will be pretty decent.

In all reality I think the Vols will go 9-3 with a win in the Cotton Bowl or Outback Bowl. They will figure out the offense after the Ga game and look really good through the rest of the season triggering a top 5 preseason ranking and top 10 recruiting class for the 2009 season. Fulmer will get another raise and extension and Dave Clawson will be named assistant coach of the year. Vol fans will be sold on Clawson as the next head coach on The Hill.

Power T, you have winning our three early huge games, but then have us losing to an bama team at home and an questionable offense USCe at their place where we haven't lost in... forever. I think we lose to UF and Auburn, beat UGA, and get to a bcs bowl as UF goes to Atlanta. I will take a bcs bowl though.

we go 11-1, we'll be in the SEC title game.

beating GA seems more likely today than it did 3 months ago, i'll admit. it's just a really good schedule spot for them......
