I think TN wins, because I think they are the better team. Memphis has some really good players, maybe both are as good or better then some of our best, but theyre a bunch of individuals on a basketball court they dont really play as one.

Side note: Has anyone seen who's on the call for the game today?

Of their 7 wins 6 are against sub 250 teams, best win is against fringe Top 100 mid-major Ohio…they have a bad loss against Notre Dame, there’s a reason most have them projected out of the NCAAT as of today…they badly need a win against UNC today.

I’m not saying they’re having a great season, but “bust” is a bit silly. It could end up being a bust but too early to tell.

Memphis obviously has more talent but hopefully better coaching and a better “ team” overcome individual talent . Please keep Uros on this bench as he will get abused by the Memphis bigs if he plays

Yeah but they also saw dollar signs in using the Memphis State uniforms for throwbacks so they could sell more jerseys. Plus they probably don't want to admit that many still think of them as Memphis State.

Reminds me of around the same time Memphis made the switch to U of Memphis, Pittsburgh tried to rebrand and get away from the "Pitt" moniker; changing their colors and dropping "Pitt" from their football and basketball uniforms. It took them about 20 years but they finally realized what a horrible decision that was and finally brought back their classic look.

I mean I probably was anyway to justify some noon beers, but this just confirms it.

No basis for this statement on talent. Please post your reasons, if you have any, for how you determine this? Did you know Memphis was 5-4 coming into the AL game. They played over their heads and beat a very tired AL team. They have lost to teams Vols would blow out. And I do expect them do play over their heads today.

Well, it never made sense for a city school to be attached with “state.” I believe they only wear the throwback jerseys at home.

Change the name to South Carolina instead of Kentucky and no one is even debating if that’s a tournament resume.
