The Official #17 Tennessee vs. Florida State Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, CBS Sports Network

Under 30 % shooting and over 20.turnovers? I'm shocked we didn't lose by 20. You aren't gonna win many games...SEC or otherwise playing like that. Disappointed a Rick Barnes team would play that undisciplined. The turnovers....over 20...is unacceptable. Shooting less than 30 % is what bad high school teams do. Lets hope this is just a bad fluke...but its scary this team is capable of playing this bad.

It’s not surprising at all. Turner has never been the primary ball handler. We have to rely on perimeter shots to win. There isn’t a great inside game. Not sure why people are shocked at this.

Bottom line: we just didn't have enough. Florida State is a tough, athletic, and gritty basketball team. A lot of pressure on the ball.

Too many holes. Fulkerson didn't give us anything and there isn't any experience behind him or playing along side him. He has to be more than scrappy and a body. The loss of Burns is obvious right now. It makes me wonder exactly what the disconnect was there.

There is no real bench help if Jalen Johnson isn't healthy. Where was he?

Too many errors at critical times. I do like this team's fight but unless they demonstrates more skill they will get exposed this year.

For the "worst in history" these "pathetic" Vols lost a tight game vs a favored team playing the worst game they have played this year
A 3 point loss to the favored FSU team. "pathetic"?

I would have to say 21 turnovers is a pathetic offensive performance. No way to sugar coat that. The team played hard and gave themselves a chance to win with defense, so there are certainly some good things to build on going forward. Both can be true.

Hate to break it to you but " this" team is not winning any " tournament" this year
I’m pretty sure I didn’t state anywhere that they would indeed would win any tournament. I simply stated that this was not the tournament that counted and that this not the one I’d ‘like’ to see them win. ‘Like’ as I wish they would not ‘Like’ as in they will. Sorry you you misinterpreted my post but that’s on you not me. At any rate I always hope for the best for my Vols in any sport if you don’t then idk why you call yourself a fan.

People only comprehend 5* with immediate Lottery pick - 20+ points a game...everything else is meaningless. At the same time, alot of the local media were hyping him up to be that type of scorer to carry the team.
Your first mistake, listening the local media. I think it's obvious James has a lot of raw talent and is the physicality of a 5* freshmen. His shot needs a lot of work and he came to the right coach to get that corrected. Seems like a coach able kid which is good. Barnes will develop him , hopefully into an NBA draft pick someday

They were favored, and was last team outside the top 25.

And they covered. FSU was favored by 2, part of that is ACC bias. But they are a strong team who had a deep NCAA run and didn’t lose a ton, especially since he plays 10-12 deep.

Great to go 1-1. Not sure how many turnovers we had but that has to improve obviously. Fun game to watch. Got the dub.
