It’s actually just a tongue in cheek way of saying it was an exciting game. No more, no less. It’s actually very easy to understand. The notion that anyone would get their dander up over something that benign is bizarre.
But you choose anger, so the mental gymnastics are necessary.
Totally my fault!I’m blaming @BruisedOrange going to his nephew’s graduation for the ESPN outage.
“If I can’t watch, nobody can”
BruisedOrange probably
Problem is that Vitello's teams have always been a little shaky defensively, whether it is fielding errors, throwing errors or the inability to prevent stolen bases in droves at times.I know we lost but this team is playing better. Erase a few errors and it’s a different game. Arky made the errors last night, UT did tonight. I know, the defense has been shakey all year.
Big game tomorrow. Be nice to take this series.
It's amazing how much a great offense can cover up fielding blunders. Last seasons team weren't Gold Glove winner around the infield either. Christian Moore's fielding percentage was just as bad as Curley's is this season...Our hitting and pitching hasn't really been that bad. The fielding errors have hurt us badly.
The sure 3rd out by our SS & throw error that scored 2 runs, made the difference. Even though Doyle had given up just 7 homers all year and gave up 3 in this game his worst game this year but still struck out double digit Hogs. Despite all of this we would have been right there without the errors at the end IMO.So how many scored on errors? Seemed like that was the biggest difference.
So why do Colleges have coaches then? Such as pitching coach, hitting coach and infield coaches. Are they just employed to spend money? But they don’t teach fundamentals in college in any sport.
