It’s actually just a tongue in cheek way of saying it was an exciting game. No more, no less. It’s actually very easy to understand. The notion that anyone would get their dander up over something that benign is bizarre.

But you choose anger, so the mental gymnastics are necessary.
😂 He annoys me, but I’m not mad, my friend. Just enjoying myself. I brag on him when I think he’s good.

I’m blaming @BruisedOrange going to his nephew’s graduation for the ESPN outage.

If I can’t watch, nobody can”
BruisedOrange probably
Totally my fault!
I unplugged ESPN briefly so I could run the hairdryer on high... then forgot to plug it back in.

But I looked like a glam rock god at the party afterward! 🕺

I know we lost but this team is playing better. Erase a few errors and it’s a different game. Arky made the errors last night, UT did tonight. I know, the defense has been shakey all year.
Big game tomorrow. Be nice to take this series.
Problem is that Vitello's teams have always been a little shaky defensively, whether it is fielding errors, throwing errors or the inability to prevent stolen bases in droves at times.
I guess his approach to the game is to put so many great bats in the lineup that we outscore most teams. But there is no reason not to have both strong offense and strong defense along with great pitching.
Tony certainly recruits well enough. I wonder if he simply does not put as much emphasis on defense, does not put the time in during practice, doesn't emphasize playing smart baseball.
Kinda like a football or basketball coach who recruits and coaches to score and score and score and play loose and have fun who work on defense but do not quite prioritize it.
I'd be real curious what our practices throughout the fall and then spring look like. He has to see that loose play and shaky defense has cost us games throughout Vitello's tenure at Tennessee.
I love the guy and want him to be here for years, but the defense and wild errors are becoming a real source of frustration.

I was a little worried about that blister last weekend. It takes some time for that to heal, then callous up. 7 days isn’t enough and when it comes to pitching, there’s too many fine mechanics and physics to just push through and it be the same. A wide receiver can catch a pass with a broken finger, but a pitcher can’t dish his normal stuff with an incorrect coefficient of friction between his finger and the seams. Liam wants to push through, but when your finger grips a certain way, then doesn’t, his delivery won’t be the same.

Our hitting and pitching hasn't really been that bad. The fielding errors have hurt us badly.
It's amazing how much a great offense can cover up fielding blunders. Last seasons team weren't Gold Glove winner around the infield either. Christian Moore's fielding percentage was just as bad as Curley's is this season...

So how many scored on errors? Seemed like that was the biggest difference.
The sure 3rd out by our SS & throw error that scored 2 runs, made the difference. Even though Doyle had given up just 7 homers all year and gave up 3 in this game his worst game this year but still struck out double digit Hogs. Despite all of this we would have been right there without the errors at the end IMO.

But they don’t teach fundamentals in college in any sport.
So why do Colleges have coaches then? Such as pitching coach, hitting coach and infield coaches. Are they just employed to spend money?

These guys are honing their fundamentals at every level in Sports with the help of coaching and practicing them daily....
