A handful of players played uncharacteristically bad…and our coach, like our quarterback, kept his heart rate low, and if you’ve ever played a sport you know how important it is to have a leader that keeps his cool when isht gets tight. Solid approach. He found a way to win. And what I think is a hallmark of his coaching is that if he has the right pieces temperamentally (see Aguilar and A Carter) he lets his boys play. What I just saw is a team that decided they were going to take the game. And it wasn’t on Heupel! Bishop scores game winning TD on pretty basic off-tackle give on the first play of OT, after struggling to find space in the running game ALL DAMN DAY! I didn’t like end of q3 or the end of the game as a professional armchair qb but I liked the finish and I think speaks to the “quality” of this team which is accentuating the talent.

Miss state runs a good scheme run wise. Our DEs were not setting the edge. It for sure needs to be cleaned up.
