Throw a 5 or 6 yard pass there, call TO and try the long field goal. But the play before that screwed it all up. Also, why we taking a shot to the end zone before that? They are leaving the underneath route wide open. Take what they give you and at least have a shot to win it.

Should have split a guy out to the boundary and through a three second sideline pass then try the long field goal. Better than whatever that was.

I thought we had a chance to get a quick 5 yards against that defense with a timeout in our pocket

I think that's the worst clock management I've seen out of the current staff/program. No reason you couldn't have gotten within FG range with 15-20 seconds left on the clock. None.

We let probably 45 seconds of dead time run off the clock while sitting on 3 timeouts.

I’m not even mad about that. The not using timeout after first down with 13 seconds on clock or clocking the ball on first down is mind boggling

With two timeouts and only needing about 8 yards I have no idea why we didnt do this. There wasnt a defender for two miles
