The Official #15 Tennessee vs. #6 Georgia Game Thread, 3:30 ET, ABC

We're fortunate to have the lead at halftime
Why? Georgia had a great second quarter, but we had a much better first quarter. They have a chance to reset and get back on the same page. It will be interesting what chess moves are made during the break. I still believe we are completely in this game. If we can stop them coming out of halftime, we have a great chance to kick it back in gear and take the game back over. We need to get back into breakneck speed, though.

What were you saying?
They'll take the lead coming out of the half. Defense is already tired. Offense has completely sputtered. JH had a good gameplan coming out. Kirby has adjusted. We'll see if JH can adjust and keep scoring. JA doesnt look confident now and is starting to miss throws. Just have no consistent push on the DL and we cannot get pressure on Stockton.

I don't like even being one who says that, but goodness they're letting them hold constantly, rip.our helmets off, and we get called for crap
Same. It’s just that it happens every year. It would be one thing if we had the same amount of talent as them, but we obviously don’t and then when you add in the unfair advantage of the refs clearly not calling a fair game, it makes it very difficult to win.

We’re up and have scored more than 17 in one quarter. I’ll take it. Please don’t Timmy make a decent adjustment and let’s go for the damn jugular and testi here

Gonna call the last 4 of that half a draw.
They got a FG, but our D overcame 30+ yds in penalties and a couple of blown coverages to hold them to a FG.

We need to come out and convincingly win the next 4 minutes. Stop on D and put points on thd board with the O.

The downside is Georgia adjusted. The ball is in our court. Can we script up a series that throws Kirby off? Can our beat up DL stay in this game?

Roller-coaster of a half. TN's 2nd quarter offensive woes are a worrisome flashback.

Two plays stand out on D:
1) Boo getting juked out of his shorts for a 1st down on a slant when it was 4th & 3 in 2nd quarter; GA goes on to score a TD
2) Turrentine taking a horrendous angle on a bubble screen leading to 37-yd TD

Get a turnover on 1) and maybe hold to FG on 2), this is a much different game.

I think the 3rd quarter will define the outcome. TN offense needs to put up some points or it is over.

Really need to keep some depth that’s more experienced, not just athletic but inexperienced freshmen.

I’d almost say to swap him out if there is anyone else.
I was talking about GA QB that came in for the hail mary but yeah our freshman DB getting picked on.
Like I said a few pages back. The way college is now. I wouldn't take any freshmen at DB, go get the guys with experience.
