Issue could also be, if anything, this year’s defense is recruited for/designed around the offense getting up by a lot early, preventing big/quick scores, and then making the other team have to play hurrying-to-catch-up-passing a lot more, and then waiting for a forced mistake or two to stretch the lead further…it might by design not be so well-designed for lower scoring games where the offense can’t keep getting it going and it entirely weighs on them (the defense) to decide/determine the game.
No. We are up 7, on our own side of the field. There’s an argument to go for it. But at this point in the game, either can be argued for or against. A lot of you know it alls are awful quiet when it works out.
