The Official #14 Tennessee vs. #19 Florida Game Thread, 3:30 pm ET, CBS

To David Pollock that said gators win if I recall right because vols oline hasn't proven reliable he was hugely proved wrong today.
Also to Spurrier the Gators d will to much problem was they blew it in the 2nd half as the Vols played like they had NFL on blitz fire mode scorching the Gators d easily scoring 35 points.

To those that doubted the Vols winning including those 2 cry me a river. That was awful as the Chargers blowing a huge lead to the Chiefs in week 1 this season that also resulted in a abysmal loss.

Vols make the Gators d roadkill in the 2nd half.

A sign said Vols Truck The Gators.
That was the story in the 2nd half in a all to easy comeback win.

I rarely post anything, but I do want to say that Colton Jumper has come along way from the last few times I've seen him play and in my opinion was a difference maker at times and has my respect. Glad to see someone show some leadership and work hard to make some plays!

Outside of the first UF touchdown where Jumper lost his man at the back pylon in the end zone he played pretty solidly.

I did.because any pick i make for the Vols they lose,so i went with the Gators :)

and i can't wear any orange or white on game day lol

Governor- I never gave up on them although it was hard to listen to the game on the radio at times during the 1st half.

Also, I had a orange jersey on up into halftime then changed into a grey t-shirt and we won. I think I should start wearing the main colour that the players are wearing for each game.

This is 1 of the times where a person can be wrong but happy they're wrong.

Damn I'm going to love watching College Scoreboard and Sportscenter.

The Gators will forever remember flapping their jaws before the game and the day they blew a 18 point lead, utterly outscored 35-7 in the 2nd half as the Vols defeated the Gators with a valiant amazing impressive win.

Terrific to see the tide finally turned as the Gators blew a huge lead and lost in a infamous awful harrowing what the hell did I just see way.

Immm.21 point lead.

Glad to see they turned it around. I was out of town and just happened to see the game while eating lunch and it was 21-0. Had no idea until I came back into cell reception area. Had a boat load of texts.

I see what you did there. (and I love it). Bammer streak is NEXT.

It just simply fit. The tables turned is so common.

I'm missed some of the opening drive due to the tv channel change situation but so damn glad I didn't leave Buffalo Wild wings as I watched all quarters of the game.
I could have left after halftime which I would have hated missing any of the amazing comeback win in the 2nd half. I'm so glad I stayed, and saw a amazing marvelous comeback win.

Plus posting on Volnation.
This includes play better in the 2nd half Vols which they did as they were NFL blitz fire mode utterly outplaying the Gators.

Bless your heart --you watched from Ireland?? That's great!

I like how people say the posters questioning the odvious concerns over the recent play stretching across the BJ era are nega, or not true fans. The fact I'm concerned shows how much I care. I think it's foolish to turn a blind eye. ALSO just because we haven't been happy doesn't mean we don't want these coaches, and MOST IMPORTANTLY these players to succeed.

Very very very happy with this win! They played like a totally different team in the second half. And I know anyone here will take it of course. I'm hopeful they will open their eyes and see that these athletes can produce and show up to every game like they did the second half. But also to act like BJ is the savior of all after this game is a tad premature. Despite hiccups this was most certainly a step in the right direction. I want to see more consistant play across the board. Mostly with the flow of the game coming from play calls. No team will survive going down that much in a game, especially against decent talent(which Florida is). What will indicate true change to me is that killer instinct style coaching you see out of elite coaches. Also I was to see how the game plan goes when up at minimum 10 points on a top ranked team. Those have been our biggest obstacles in recent years. We have a knack for coming back and at least putting up a fight when down, because it forces aggressive play calling.

By no means am I trying to be negative. Proud of the players(as always), and proud of the coaches for their response. But in talking about growth, let's keep it moving forward. Enjoy this very important victory, y'all earned it!

Go VOLS

There's an over generalization of both "Negavols" and "Sunshine Pumpers". The first is that you're either one or the other...most reside somewhere in the middle. Depending on who is dishing on the label, Negavols describe themselves as totally objective observers and advocates of a winning program. Sunshine Pumpers on a roll will attack en masse anyone throwing a dissenting opinion...FICTION. When a fan calls a player garbage and call for the coaching staff to be fired in the first half, they're being reactionary plain and simple. They can't wait to be right so they get desperate and throw out preemptive barbs. That's what happened today...and the 3 previous weeks. Colton Jumper had the faith of our new star DC, but that was only "cuz Daddy 'payed up'". Dobbs needed to be benched, Hurd and Malone were garbage...blah blah blah. PUMPERS would go overboard defending against this and the board becomes a toxic mess. :pinch: Should be a less contentious week, but ramp up for more failure and conspiracies by Thursday. Just hope both sides can temper down a tad so the fun fans in the middle can enjoy the week. Carry on. :hi:

Was so anxious during the whole first half, we were getting burned. I agree with the call to go for it 4th and goal, would have like to see some I-form or dobbs under center, but for the most part we hung in there and waited for the chance to come back. Even with the pick in the endzone on the second redzone drive, it felt like 2015 UGA where we were moving the ball okay, but the turnover wasn't too harsh. We could have been 9-21 at the half our we could have tried a one minute offense at the end of the second but i like the game plan we had in motion, take it slow and one play at a time. In the second when the 2nd pick was thrown that's where the jitters set in, but I just had a feeling that when we got the ball back we would do something special. We moved the sticks and got our offense moving on all gears. I feel the biggest take away from this game was that our O-line is solid with the new rotation, and the depth overall is good and we're going to be a team that when we win everyone knows we didn't just scrub by on luck, but we earned it. Florida is just another brick in the foundation soon we'll be able to put up walls and move in to this great house we've been building with the Butcher.

What a great day. Social media has gone off. Vol Twitter is killing it tonight. The game was unlike anything I've ever seen before.

Amazing way to end the 11 game losing streak.

I am 30 years old and terrific to see the 1st year of my 30s the Big Orange Vols comeback from 21 points to defeat the Gators 38-28.
