I like how people say the posters questioning the odvious concerns over the recent play stretching across the BJ era are nega, or not true fans. The fact I'm concerned shows how much I care. I think it's foolish to turn a blind eye. ALSO just because we haven't been happy doesn't mean we don't want these coaches, and MOST IMPORTANTLY these players to succeed.
Very very very happy with this win! They played like a totally different team in the second half. And I know anyone here will take it of course. I'm hopeful they will open their eyes and see that these athletes can produce and show up to every game like they did the second half. But also to act like BJ is the savior of all after this game is a tad premature. Despite hiccups this was most certainly a step in the right direction. I want to see more consistant play across the board. Mostly with the flow of the game coming from play calls. No team will survive going down that much in a game, especially against decent talent(which Florida is). What will indicate true change to me is that killer instinct style coaching you see out of elite coaches. Also I was to see how the game plan goes when up at minimum 10 points on a top ranked team. Those have been our biggest obstacles in recent years. We have a knack for coming back and at least putting up a fight when down, because it forces aggressive play calling.
By no means am I trying to be negative. Proud of the players(as always), and proud of the coaches for their response. But in talking about growth, let's keep it moving forward. Enjoy this very important victory, y'all earned it!
