The Official #10 Auburn @ #12 Tennessee Series Thread (Sat. May 3 11AM EDT) (Sun. May 4 1PM EDT) (Sun. May 4 45 mins after) (All games SECNET+)

But disagreeing with the decision to start play last night doesn’t justify the crummy strike zones. It almost makes it sound like Blue is making an admission against interest.
I'm not an attorney or anything. But the guy seemed to be calling everything a strike for both teams.

We used to have an old softball umpire named Ralph. His feet hurt by the third game of night. So, if the ball left the pitcher's hand in the air, it was a strike.

Everyone knew it before the start. Get them bats off yo' shoulders. Adjust to the umps..

There’s 45 minutes between games, don’t know why they wouldn’t empty it.
Probably the same reason they didn’t today. Plus, Sunday’s ticket is good for suspended game and originally scheduled Sunday game.

Really? Why?
I was surprised by that decision as well. I’d defer to UT ticket office for the answer but I suppose they don’t want to deal with logistics of scanning and then emptying the stadium for potentially just one inning. If I had to guess, I’d be surprised if they turned anyone away tomorrow for the suspended game as long as they can show a ticket for it. They will probably just tell them they have no seat for the originally scheduled Sunday game.

Resume top of 10th at 1pm tomorrow. 45 min after conclusion, game 3 will commence (7 inning game per SEC rules). Sunday’s ticket gets you into both games. They will not be clearing the stadium in between games.
If Sundays ticket is for both games, those with tickets to Sat game but not Sun are SOL?

Lame. You sit through that and don’t get to see the outcome? Never seen that done before. “…the same reason…” what’s the reason?

Edit: NM…that’s bs.

When I went to the super regional in ‘23, we needed Friday tickets to see the end of the Friday game on Saturday. Then they emptied the stadium and admitted or readmitted the Saturday tickets. Easy to do in 45 minutes with time to spare.

I don’t work for UT, so I don’t have their answer or reasoning behind it. I only gave my theory and it’s they don’t want the hassle of scanning and then emptying the stadium and then scanning again. For what it’s worth, I’d be ticked if I only had a Sat ticket If it was me, I’d go and show them my Sat ticket and I’d be surprised if they don’t admit you just for the suspended game.

NCAA controls regionals and supers. UT controls home regular season games. This is on UT and I expect they will receive blowback as they should.
