The Official #10 Auburn @ #12 Tennessee Series Thread (Sat. May 3 11AM EDT) (Sun. May 4 1PM EDT) (Sun. May 4 45 mins after) (All games SECNET+)

I’m glad we clawed back into this game. Between extra innings and the third game we have a chance to win the series tomorrow. We were down all day, but not out!
Yes the B9 was the most fight we've seen in awhile. Hope they sleep well on that ... and come back tomorrow knowing they went toe to toe today (and honestly outhit AU) and the game is theirs to take!

I don’t necessarily agree with this entirely, there have been moments, ya don’t get to this record without them. I’m not making excuses, but we’re a young team and we’ve been moving dudes all year trying to find the recipe. That said, we’re almost past the teachable moments(not that it ever ends) and this just may be who we are. We are talented. Cohesive might be the word…there’s still time.

Just got back from spending all day at LNS

1) today’s strike zone was the worst I’ve ever seen in person.
2) the HP umpire was yelling at CTV in between innings right before the game was suspended. I could clearly hear the umpire yell “you‘re the ones that made us start the game”. Assuming he was referring to last night’s game
3) pushing this morning’s start from 11am to 11:45am and then to 11:35 made no sense. The best weather was at 11am. I asked the usher if the umpires were trying to get the game cancelled since I assume they controlled the start of the suspended game.
4) again no updates at LNS via PA on delays or starts of games today. Ridiculously poor communication…
5) Bargo’s HR and emotion and fire were clutch today. Phillips and Loy came up big today.

Don't want to peak too early.

This team reminds me of the 2023 team. Lots of talent but just didn’t gel at times. Also a lot of mistakes that extended innings.

Horrible strike zone by game one umpire, but they were right about the weather.

CTV pooped his pants on that one.

It happens.

We learn and move forward.

They weren’t right about the weather today. if they would have started as planned at 11am, we would have likely completed game 2 tonight. Totally agree that last night’s game should have never started. Looking forward to hearing what CTV has to say about his thought process on that one.

Yes, sorry...I was talking about last night's start.

Didn't see the morning shuffle today.

Tennessee weather....who knows???

I think he needs to take an ejection tomorrow for that very reason. Sure he needed to calm down from the 18-22 era version of himself, but this team needs that version of him right now I think.

I trust em, I watch all the post games, sure you do too.

I watched a show a the wife. What’s the plan for game 2
Resume top of 10th at 1pm tomorrow. 45 min after conclusion, game 3 will commence (7 inning game per SEC rules). Sunday’s ticket gets you into both games. They will not be clearing the stadium in between games.

But disagreeing with the decision to start play last night doesn’t justify the crummy strike zones. It almost makes it sound like Blue is admitting more than one would expect.
