So, I didn’t get to watch game 1. I thought I heard the announcers say we used 7! Pitchers in game 1. If so, we used 9 pitchers today (Doyle yesterday).
How many of those guys are available tomorrow?
I feel it might be AJ,& Liam for 40/40 pitches, and then Krenzel. Might need one more.
If you were going to throw Liam at all, would you consider the top of the 10th? Get that win, and you might make that chicken salad with AJ and Krenzel in Game 2.
Of course, there is also Krenzel in the 10th, then AJ in game 3 followed by whomever you got.
I just don’t know why Liam is less likely to throw than the guys who threw today, if you are just considering counts/rest.
No, I don’t. That’s why I am asking about who we have available. I do want us to win this game 2, and then win game 3, and if throwing Doyle 1 or two innings gives us our best chance to win Game 2, I’d take it.You really want your Ace throwing a few pitches on Sunday and going 100 more on Friday?
He might get used to it next month, in the postseason. Might be a chance to prepare for that.I can see both sides. He'll have to get used to that exact schedule in as little as a few months anyways. But he's still in college now, and Tony will protect them as long as they are.

The Game 2 win is just as important as the Friday Game 1.
I’m don’t know what I would do, that is why I threw out some options.
What are your thoughts on the rotation for the 10th and forward tomorrow? (And aren’t we glad we can’t be wrong?)![]()
having Game 3 be a 7 inning gives us some latitude, I hope. As I said, I didn’t see the 11am, so I don’t know if all those guys threw 20 pitches, or if there were some 1 batter, 6 pitch at bats that leave some guys available tomorrow.I don’t really have any because this weekend has been so F’d up. I reckon AJ will start unless it’s just dangerous to put him out there on the only dirt surface in the park. After that, it will probably be the same guys we see on Sunday for the most part. This series is not one to lose an arm over, in my opinion.
