The importance of getting a baserunner on 2nd base as we all know puts them in scoring position as a ground ball thru the infield allows a chance for the runner to score...a high percentage chance, ask Liberty U. Last night...scenario was 2 outs in bottom of 9th Liberty U. Was up 1-0...they put a VA Tech batter on 1st, then the baserunner went to 2nd base from a passed ball. Next a VT batter hits a ball thru the infield and their runner scores from 2nd base. VT goes on to win game! So it's VERY important to not allow a baserunner to reach 2nd base as it can cost a team the game esp in a 1 run affair...let me say imo in the playoffs, region, sub, cws, it almost always comes back to burn a teams arse n send em home... Something major to correct but can be done on the practice field w a teams pitchers/catchers before the playoffs! Go get those dogs this weekend guys! Exciting time for Vols baseball!!

IMO…it greatly reduces the DP opportunity that really hurts. Especially if it’s the lead off batter.

Tennessee was humanized this past weekend, losing its first SEC series of the season, two games to one against Kentucky. But that likely has made the Vols even more determined as a talented Georgia team with a lot on the line comes to town.

“Does it dent their confidence or make them angry? I lean toward it probably makes them angry,” Georgia coach Scott Stricklin said Wednesday. “They’re going to be ready to play in front of their home crowd, there’s no question about it. We’re going to have to play really, really well to win the series.”

Hokies baseball ratings just skyrocketed and that graph someone shared the other day, about baseball teams getting mentions on social media...I’m pretty sure Virginia Tech just took over the top spot!

If they were smart they would make sure she’s at every game and setup a “Rally Boobs Photo Booth” out there.
