The Official #1 Tennessee @ Illinois Game Thread, 5:30 PM ET, FOX

Its kind of crazy we have out rebounded them 25-17, but some of that may have to do with them sitting players in foul trouble. Hopefully we maintain that advantage

They preserved Ivisic by sitting him for most of the half. It’ll be a different game with him in. Felix is more of a liability than an asset if he can’t get the ball up and in. We have to shoot out of the slump and keep our guards out of foul trouble. Gotta win ugly games sometimes.

Probably because Underwood was whining in the refs ear every time the camera was on him in first 10 minutes of the game.
Good on the refs for at least tightening it up on both ends instead of just calling them against us. It was a balanced (if all too frequent) whistle.

Yeah, with their length, rebounding was my biggest worry coming into the game. Never thought we would have so many chances either!

Amazing that we have the lead. Get those defensive boards and run. We aren't scoring against their half-court defense. We are a tough team in many respects but we have entirely too many players who are not mentality tough with the ball in the hands offensively. The seniors we have on this team all need to play much better in the 2nd half. Illinois is a young team so if we can build a decent lead on them, they may collapse.

Not to look too far ahead, but Phillips and Estrella could be lethal playing together next year.
