I usually complain about foul fest games but both of these teams are insisting on mugging each other. Haha

This started on the Gainey missed layup where he got bodied and no call. Since then, it has been bodies just flying at the rim

After all that horrible shooting and free throw shooting we lead by a point. Just a decent shooting half and were going home with a win.

That was the ugliest half of basketball I’ve seen in a long time. Refs need to figure it out. Nobody buys tickets to a free throw shooting contest

Offensively HAS to be better in the 2nd half. GBO!

Refs started the game calling nothing and Illinois was over the top physical then the refs pivot 180 and are calling everything. Tough for players to adjust to the inconsistency

We held their star player, Kasparus, to one FG for 2 points. Unfortunately the refs bailed him out and gave him 10 free throws and he made 7. So he has 9 points.

Yep. They let some of the early stuff get rough and have tried to correct by calling everything tight and it’s just made it ugly

Lazy and inconsistent. Basically go from dude hitting a guy with a shovel and no call, to walking by guy and getting a technical.
