When it comes down to one loss teams getting in over each other, a Blowout loss certainly plays a factor. Especially a recent one.

Recency does not matter. Yes it matters if the SOS or SOR is close. Many of these teams that could end up one loss like Clemson or Michigan are not going to be close.
