Any one got the cliff notes on this?
I don't get why Phillips didn't try to get surgery in off season instead of playing through shoulder issues another year. Also, Evans having a vague foot problem that has kept him not fully practicing all summer is concerning.Much of the same…
Said Kobi & Ament are studs, Abram & Boswell competing at the 2 with Abram probably having advantage but neither killing it. Okpara what you’d think, Estrella looks good but can he stay healthy, likes Henderson’s future, international guys have to adjust but if they can do so throughout the season watch out, could really raise the ceiling, Phillips again struggling with shoulder and will again try and play through it.
I’ve chalked Evans up as a non factor this year barring injuries, guy has been constantly mentioned as sidelined in every summer and now fall report it’s seemed like.I don't get why Phillips didn't try to get surgery in off season instead of playing through shoulder issues another year. Also, Evans having a vague foot problem that has kept him not fully practicing all summer is concerning.
Article also mentioned Brown looking really good and someone that would likely contribute this year which having depth will be huge especially if any bigs go down.
Excited to get the season going after we see how football plays out. I learned a long time ago to temper my expectations, no matter what I felt about the upcoming season. It could be very, very good or it could disappoint. Regardless, Richard Dale Barnes keeps giving us a chance!Barnes sounds really bullish on Burg, to be honest I'm over the moon with the team and depth. Excited to get the season started already!
I expressed the knowledge, he’s continually missed time this summer and now fall, hardly lit the world on fire when he has been out there. I’ll be shocked if he’s in the rotation this year, you’re welcome to disagree.A little early to be chalking up anyone as a non-factor without having full knowledge of the situation.
I have no idea if he will or will not be in any rotation. I just disagree with you in that it is too early to tell.I expressed the knowledge, he’s continually missed time this summer and now fall, hardly lit the world on fire when he has been out there. Typically freshman need as much time as they can get, he’s not capitalized on that. The exceptions are typically players at a position without much competition, he’s at a position with a host of more experienced players at his position, many of whom have had more time on the court this summer and now fall than him. First scrimmage is less than a month away, game action is much closer than many realize.I have no idea if he will or will not be in any rotation. Sounds like you’re saying, that at this point, he will be a non-factor. Am I correct in my assertion about what you’re saying?Typically freshman need as much time as they can get, he’s not capitalized on that. Abram kind of reminds me of Bowden on the 2018-2019 team. More of a role player that can hold his own on both ends and hit shots when needed within the offense. Probably less athletic though.Much of the same…

Junior year Bowden seems really optimistic for Abram this year to me. If he’s close to that level of play we’ll be in great shapeAbram kind of reminds me of Bowden on the 2018-2019 team. It helps to get there consistently. Playing a few minutes here or there and getting no shots up then going to the line isn’t easy. He has the stroke and release to be a good shooter.Cade needs to have really upped his free throw game this off season to get end of game minutes. He was 40 of 74 last year. 54%. He needs to get that up to at least 65%-70%.

No. I know he was talking about this year, but find it unusual that any kid is already counted out for the upcoming season that is still six weeks out. To my knowledge, there is no solid info of a catastrophic injury that would definitely keep him out for the season. He is saying non-factor this season. Are you interpreting him as meaning that he will be a non-factor for his entire career?
I don't know why the overall idea seems so foreign to you.No. I know he was talking about this year, but find it unusual that any kid is already counted out for the upcoming season that is still six weeks out. I don't know but it definitely seems like your point is more foreign. A freshman that has been limited basically the entire small amount of time he has been here. A true freshman. Was not seen as the type of recruit that you expect to contribute right away. No reports from summer or fall apear to indicate that he looks like someone they expect to contribute. But sure.... seems crazy to say it looks like he won't contributeNo. I know he was talking about this year, but find it unusual that any kid is already counted out for the upcoming season that is still six weeks out. So you don’t think it unusual to say that a player is going to be a non-factor this year before the bell even rings on the season? I don‘t have a clue myself which way this will go, but the kid himself might just surprise some folks. Mentioning Dubar here and saying “not going to factor in much in terms of playing time” is not what I said. I was referring, as I stated, to the “non-factor” comment. Dubar absolutely was instrumental in 3-4 big wins for us, even though his minutes were not what he wanted. He was a huge factor in winning outcomes in several important games.I don't know why the overall idea seems so foreign to you.
Last year, it was pretty well known upfront that Bishop Boswell and Darlinstone Dubar were not going to factor in much in terms of playing time well in advance of the start of the season. Dubar was in part due to the personal issues he had going on back home, but Boswell was healthy and present. Sometimes it is just evident that certain guys are behind and need to develop. In Evans's case, it sounds like he needs development AND has been nicked up throughout the offseason.
It doesn’t appear on face value that he will be a huge factor, but have you ever had a kid come from nowhere and surprise you?I don't know but it definitely seems like your point is more foreign. That wasn’t a Top 50 recruit and was out injured more than he practiced his freshman year, no I can’t think of any, maybe you can?It doesn’t appear on face value that he will be a huge factor, but have you ever had a kid come from nowhere and surprise you?
No, I don’t think it’s all that unusual. Juat like I don't think it was unusual to arrive at the idea that GMac was going to be a non-factor for the football team. Sure, injuries could change things in any situation and sport, but you can't predict those things. So, you have to operate on what you know.So you don’t think it unusual to say that a player is going to be a non-factor this year before the bell even rings on the season? ZZZ is the only freshman surprise I can think of , but he wasn’t fighting injury and CRB and others were making positive comments about him within a couple weeks of him arriving on campus? It doesn’t appear on face value that he will be a huge factor, but have you ever had a kid come from nowhere and surprise you?
