With how much was raised? They should own that thing outright (at least damn near).

Chit, I'm about to have a house fire at this point.

They paid $200k. A good chunk more than that was raised IIRC. They probably paid cash for the Boyd’s Bridge house.

I didn’t bring it up as to question whether or not she can sell it and keep the money. She (they) can - no argument from me on that. I’m just curious if the Zs permanently settle in Knoxville with ZZ making the move to play basketball in Europe. He could be elected mayor here.

They probably stay in East Tennessee and wait for ZZ to come back home and coach our Vols in the future.

I’d say a lot. Probably making low 6 figures in the French league would be my guess.

right around $100k id bet

So did some looking... that league the budget is set for each team yearly some have huge budgets some do not. The team ZZ joined had 1,662,000 player budget (in euros) for 2024-25...so depending on number of players could be 100k or 150k (euros).

France is a a mixed market economy with some strong socialist principles for the most part, so likely player salaries are near equal top players wouldn't make a huge amount more, unless they went to top teams.

I would be pretty surprised if the player salaries were that flat. Socialist principles usually just means higher taxes at the high end, not lower salaries.

This very well could be our best roster given our frontcourt (Carey is going to thrive imo and Estrella will surprise if he stays healthy). I really like the Burg addition. Just need Ament to be the real deal as a FR then get the normal YoY imp'ment from the returning players.

Idk about overall roster. I'm tempering expectations. I think going from bone to springer to chandler to ziegler (gonna leave out that weird 19-20 year with turner/vescovi) was an embarrassment of riches. Hopefully Gillespie lives up to the hype.

But this is definitely the most interesting front court we've had since Williams and Alexander. The potential is there, and we have a bunch of pieces that really compliment each other in a multitude of ways.

There are def question marks which need to be answered and we can't have the injury bug to hit so, I agree, it can't be an expectation but I really like the pieces the coaching staff has assembled and how they could all fit together really well to give opposing teams fits. I expect Ja'Kobi and Carey to thrive under CRB plus the YoY development this program delivers for the returning players. Burg was a big pickup for depth and stability imo.

So, the 2 critical questions in my mind are whether Ament is as advertised and if Estrella is healthy and at 100% going into the season. We will see.

I’ve only been casually paying attention during the offseason, but from the expected lineups I’ve seen on here we should be an elite rebounding team, right? Sounds like a big lineup across the board with a lot of versatility and high motor guys in the post.

This will certainly be a really tall team. That may not translate to elite rebounding though. Okpara is an ok rebounder. He wasn’t great.

Carey is pretty good. Should be about as good as Igor at rebounding, who was our best rebounder last year.

I think where this pays off more is just length on defense

Yes. Okpara and Carey will be a formidable twosome when they are playing together. Both as alternative offensive weapons, but moreso on defense. Intense and physical

I think it should/better be an elite rebounding team, like top 20 in rebounding %…Okpara should be a good rebounder, as you said not great, Carey for his position is a plus rebounded, and a 6’10” Ament at the 3 should be a better than plus rebounder…add those up and that should be a good rebounding front line.
