Funny how the script has flipped. We used to want to play Memphis in basketball, but they wanted us to give them football games as part of a package deal. Now they want us to play them in basketball and we’re giving them the finger.

I was at the TN Memphis 1 vs 2 game. Beale St was insane all day. Felt like a huge college football game tailgate.

If One Cent hadn’t acted a fool with Barnes, he might still have a series. And then pulled the crap in Nashville with the Covid no show on top of that.

As one poster said, they need us a whole lot more than we need them and we don’t need them whatsoever. I could care less if we ever play them again in any sport.

The Nashville thing is the big problem for me. That was such weak sauce. TN played Alabama on the road that season without our two best players

Also I'd laugh if after Hardaway is gone and if the next guy isn't a douche that we immediately start talks again.

Hardaway is a grown man with a 4-year-old mindset. Barnes gave him a pathway to play and his hissy fit in Memphis and no-show in Nashville ended this series.

Gillespie going to be one of the best offensive point guards vols have had. Excited to see him next year.

Seems like based on practice reports today, Ament, Gillespie, Felix all looking really solid. Henderson seems like big time surprise recruit which is nice to hear. The 2 spot really kind of up in the air though with Evans out right now, Massamba not being on campus, and Abram being more or less so so.

This team has a lot of potential, let's hope the 2 spot gets shored up either by one of the freshmen, Abram, or some transfer out there.

Yup very encouraged with Gillespie, Ament and our front court. The 2 spot looks about as rough right now as I imagined…I hope we have something up our sleeve

I keep hearing & reading the possibility of Troy Henderson & Ja'Kobi Gillespie hitting the court at the same time from time to time... That would cover some of the sg minutes if they can make that work. As stated by many, T-Roy is no joke.
Add in the fact Bishop Boswell will undoubtedly get minutes based on his incredible defense alone and there's more sg minutes covered...

I think It's ok for a team to be over average (on paper) in 4 positions and have 1 position that doesn't look as great. The guys filling those slots will play key roles to success as a team.

All 5 guys can’t be primary scorers - seems like all the worry may be misguided. If indeed we have high level scorers at 3 positions, then we’ll be fine if our 2 plays good D. JMO.
