The Offical Selection Sunday Thread

This is where the last night thing comes in. If they had ole miss out they knew who they were pulling for ole miss...if they were already in the rest of the field was set, they weren't deciding MTSU or UT depending on the outcome of that game IMO.

I hope you're right. MTSU looks a lot better today than they did yesterday. The conversation seems to have shifted in their favor this afternoon. Not that it matters

thing is the bracket is already done with UT in it...cause this big 10 game doesn't decide anything

There's an article on espn.com titled "why gators are nation's best team".

From when? December or January?

Edit: I see it now... That's ridiculous that anyone would still think that.

The selection committee announced before the start of today's games that their brackets were drawn and would likely not be affected by the outcome of today's games in terms of in-teams & out-teams. That tells me Ole Miss was in win or lose. That's why I say it probably still comes down to a coin toss between us and MTSU.

I played golf yesterday with my old high school ball coach and asked him about UT. He thinks we are in, I trust his opinion.

Ole Miss was in regardless. It's gonna come down to whether or not they feel Tennessee is more deserving than MTSU, and personally, I feel we are. But it's not up to me. I'm still upset, that with so much on the line, Tennessee came out flat. They didn't play with intensity or any sort of motivation against Bama. They looked like a lost, and uninspired team. Sometimes I feel like Martin is a great coach, and other times I don't. We're an inconsistent team, and that's something that has continued from last year up to now! I know we haven't been completely healthy this year, but when Tennessee plays with a chip on their shoulder, they can beat anybody. And when they don't show up, they can be beat by anybody. That's the problem.

How is MTSU's RPI so high. Most of their non conference schedule was weak (Alabama St., Savannah St., Central Florida, Louisiana Lafayette, UAB, Tennessee St.) yet their out of conference SOS is ranked in the top 10. Something is amiss in the criteria.

If you guys had 60 seconds to argue before the committee on why we get in over BAYLOR what would you say? I'm actually surprised they aren't getting a better look.

Time for Tennessee to get a break! I'm calling it...right here, right now! We get in! Better SOS will prevail to me....how many times has the committee said that non conference SOS is what they wanna see? I can see an argument either way, but I'm calling it......WE MAKE THE LAST AT LARGE BID! GO VOLS!

I know, it's absurd. I clicked on the link but it's a pay site. Who is gonna pay to read bs like that?

85.6% of people on Streak for the Cash have voted on UT NOT making the field

99 percent of those people are going strictly off lunardi. They dont know a thing about any of ut, mtsu, lasalle, etc. They only know their team.

According to Lunardi's updated last four in, it's Saint Mary's, Boise State, MTSU, and La Salle. Sadly, I'm not having much faith that we make it in guys. NIT bound again IMO.

If we don't get in, we need to hire the scheduler for one of these teams.
How to make the dance:
#30 St Mary's
1-100 teams 12
100-200+ teams 20

#29 MTSU
1-100 4
100-200+ 29

How not to:
# 59 TN
1-100 18
100-200+ 14

Trade six of our 1-100s for some patsies and we've probably got 27 wins.
We did try that last season but it didn't work because we couldn't beat them. this year might have been different.
