Are we running an Oklahoma style spread attack?

Seems that way...

Or is it bray has a problem taking snap under center?

Opinions welcome..

I think that is just Chaney's preferred offense. Bray can work under center, it's just better for our offense right now to work a lot out of the gun

We do what works this year. When we get players in and some experience and can impose our will the offense may change a bit. right now it's working.

I know where we are in terms of players and ability but it just seems to me we are going toward a spread style offense not seen at UT. Well one that was successful anyway...

3 reasons i can think of.

1. Bray may have trouble with his drop back from center.
2. Extra time for Bray since our o-line is young.
3. Cheney's perferred offense.

Personally, i don't care if we run it 50 times or throw it 50 times, do whatever it takes to win.

4) The center qb exchange from a left handed center is taking a little more practice to get him used to it. Also need the shotgun practice from that new center.

I suspect that it is set up to get an extra second of time behind a young OL.

You are so right. This young O-line if he is in shot guy and takes the snap he is already back there. Plus Bray is tall and he can over look the field. Every body is getting on Chaney for the offence, I just seen the Fla. and S. Carolina game. The Gators didn't do anything with the S Carolina Defence. I know we are a very young team BUT I SEE a lot OF UPSIDE TO THIS TEAM.

Fans need to understand that Phil Fulmer is no longer the coach and we are not going to be running the same plodding offensive game plan that he ran.

Jim Chaney's offense is an aggressive edgy offense that gets the ball into the hands of our best playmakers in space.

Hes doing it because the o-line is a struggle and to keep Bray from getting sacked. He still gets hit but usually the ball is out of his hands. Also, it seems the running game has lacked recently. . . Maybe because they've been slinging it all over the place?

But its working so I don't have a problem with what they're doing.

I don't care as long as we win. Plus, it's kind of nice to be able to have fun watching our offense again.

If we continue to run this offense, I'm canceling my donation to the VASF and never attending a game again.

Bray gets an extra second or two out of the shotgun. He can also see the defense a little better pre-snap.

Bray will be under center a little more as the OL grows.

What a novel idea! Get the playmakers the ball in space....hmm.... :)

With the talent we currently have at WR, i understand wanting to throw the ball a little more. Our RB's have great talent, but people have set thier sights on stopping our run and making us throw the ball. Giving Bray another second out of the shotgun is a great idea. Someone earlier said that this sint Fulmers offense anymore, and your not going to see the Power I 25 times a game. I completely agree, and that is one of the reasons Phil isnt here anymore. Times are a changin'. That includes out Offense.
