I do to. I think the "originally" is what LG was pointing out. I am sure she meant "from".

Well I don't think I'd characterize it as making fun of her. That's a little harsh.

I am just amused (or bemused, depending) by misstatements where we know what you mean, but it comes out all wrong.

There are comedians who have made a living out of that. Steven Wright comes to mind. Why do we park on the driveway and drive on the parkaway?
