The o-line next season

Both our O line and our D line seriously lacks solid SEC type players and only a few years of good recruiting will turn that around.

Both lines also lack much depth and none that's solid SEC type depth.

Hurting on both lines is why many of us think we'll do well to get to 6 WINS and back in a bowl game next season.

Over 6 WINS is icing on the cake for us.

We really need to get to a bowl game because being allowed to have all those extra practices is very important to getting our total rebuild going faster.

Only 6 WINS won't make me happy but most people have no idea how important all those extra practices are for our growth and progress as is the extra game they get to play.

VFL...GBO!!!

This O line is going to be a 2 year rebuild minimum and probably 3.

Same holds true for the defensive line.

Primary reason I don't have much hope for Pruitt coming in and doing much the next two seasons.

You don't win in the SEC without winning the line of scrimmage.

We really need Hall to come back healthy. With Hall RT and Smith/Richmond at the LT and Smith or Richmond at Guard, we will be in decent shape.

Tatum is a big dude who can break out into a menacing OG/OT with better coaching and more muscle put on that frame. Ryan Johnson also has great potential too.

We really need for those JUCOs to step up and man those other vacant positions.

Coleman Thomas and Jashon Robertson graduating mean that two of the three who played Center are gone.

I expect a better blocking at TE but doubt we will see the same Reception production that Eli Wolf had.

Anytime you throw new starters together... growing pains

I think with us going to a pro style set, will help this O-line alot. Just line up and knock someone on their rear.

I didn't hear anything about that. Injury concerns?!

I'm just repeating second hand VN stuff. But I read that Hubbs or someone had reported that he has yet to have his surgery. They believe he may be taking a medical hardship

Gripe about that all you want, but when another one goes out with injury every week, you can't just stick with anything. Most ignorant assed comment I have heard all year. Congratulations.

Maybe the ignorant one is YOU!
Funny that he got several likes for what you consider an ignorant comment!
Thanks for dropping by today, Butch!:eek:lol:

Chance Hall and Jack Jones are both examples of why you’re supposed to redshirt linemen unless they walk in looking like Trey Smith.

They played better than the other players before they learned the scheme. Hall had the Achilles in HS...Jones had no history.

LT - Smith
LG - Richmond
C - Ryan Johnson
RG - Valentin
RT - J. Johnson

Locklear will play
Carvin will play but should be a red shirt, but we will not have that luxury
Tatum and Brooks as back up tackles.

Better hope the starting five do not get hurt

If true.. Johnson needs to take steroids to get stronger

Agreed. I would hope they think about moving Richmond to RT (his position in HS, the position he was ranked so highly in originally), Smith to LT, Hall @ RG (if he returns), Johncarlo at LG, and R. Johnson at C.
Have Locklear, Carvin, Kalbert as back ups in the middle and have J Johnson, Tatum and Brooks as backups on the ends. If Boulware came back he’d be a godsend.

This is just a feeling, so grain of salt. But I'm thinking Chance Hall would be more likely to return if he were moved inside at guard where his mobility were less of a question.
